Hello world! My name is Maximilian Mataija and I’m a twenty-three year old master’s student studying paleontology, ecology, and evolutionary biology as part of the Evans lab at the University of Toronto. My research focuses on examining the diversity of centrosaurine ceratopsian dinosaurs during the Late Cretaceous Period of southern Alberta to further understand their evolution and ecology. I started writing about dinosaurs when I was nine to express my fascination with them. Like most children, the awe-inspiring nature of dinosaurs and other extinct creatures drew me into long lost worlds full of seemingly unfathomable creatures.
Except my obsession never stopped.
Here at Max’s Blogosaurus, you’ll be introduced to the strange organisms that called prehistory home. From the largest dinosaurs to our earliest ancestors, the depths of prehistory are explored with all the enthusiasm that a lifelong paleo-nerd can provide. All opinions expressed are my own.
Hope you enjoy my website!
